Getting the boys to bed is sometimes a grueling routine. I was trying to get the oldest to pick up his toys when he spouted a line that I've heard from him rather often of late. He put a finger on the problem of all humanity, with this succinct declaration:
"But I don't want to pick up my toys, Daddy. I want to do what I want to do."
And although I didn't say it, the thought was there--Yeah son, me too.
